Literature Text

In the barren depths of the mind’s eye
It is with great struggle to begin
Because you can fall or you can fly
The wrong note would be a sin
Though as the melody makes that face
All of the pain fades away
Leaving the door wide open
With tranquility and grace
The hands hover into the fray
And the song is clearly spoken

With the beauty of the bloom
Some notes begin to thrust
And the piece drops into doom
While the pedals start to rust
The fingers become slippery
Wounding the measure
The left hand’s in the wrong time
Messing with origins and history
There seems to be a hint of pleasure
Though for the most part it’s a mime

The sounds form a sensation
That varies from time to time
Including passion and inspiration
But depression will sometimes rhyme
It is against all odds that the flavour
Be it spicy or sweet or sour
A point in the song will be tough
It is up to your wrist’s behaviour
Whether they should wilt or flower
That the one song will be enough
